Bermuda grass that common?

Here in NE Ohio bermuda grass has seemingly never much of a problem until this year. I'm finding it sporadically in a number of lawns and attributing it to last year's drought as the reason for its aggressive emergence. I'm wondering if anyone else in the northern teir states, PA, OH, IN, MI, ILL, NY are seeing this as a problem this year too?

I recall at a seminar at MSU that a golf course owner in S.W. Mich. had what he thought was a warm season grass growing on his course. All the Profs. balked at his "discovery". He brought a sample. It was bermuda.
