I use to work for a large lawn care in Cincinnati area. They had a really neat way of invoicing. They had approx. 10 techs that did apps all season long. They applied 5 rounds a season. Each round, all 10 guys got their invoices printed at beginning of round approx. 600-800 invoices. They then filed them in a box, in front of cards that contained all info about property that the tech that sold it, recorded. Which when filed they were routed. Then when they did the treatment they left one copy of invoice on door and brung other copy back with them for company's copy. They used that to calculate gallons and make sure they were accurate then they turned them in. Does anyone else print all their invoices like that and I wonder what kind of software could be used to do something like that. The company now sold out to Scotts.:dizzy:

we use qxpress. It can be set up to invoice the customer before heading out for the day. The invoice is not recorded until you come back and complete the job within the program. This way you can leave the invoice w/ customer. If you don't make it there that day you can regenerate the invoice for another day until it is complete. You can also set it up to invoice after the job is completed. That is used where the invoice is sent to a different address than the job site. ex. - Once round 2 is complete for a customer it can not be back on the schedule for this season. You can only "fetch" the jobs that are not complete. You can Fetch jobs by zone, zip, or individually pick from a list. It works out great. You can also record job info about the property and have that print out as well.
