Do any of you guys get these bumps on your thumb from the handles of SCAG walkbehinds? I know this is probably the dumbest thread ever....But it is an intriguing phenomena in the lawn care industry!

Not From these's

I get mine on my palm. At the "crotch" of my thumb. Feels like somone burried a small pea under my skin!

OH, Pete..........Where are you! :D

BTW, thanks to SCAG, when I shake hands with people, I can hear bones cracking in THEIR hands! Free exercise!

I also have callas, and they're about to bloom. (calla lillies).
From my Scag, I have calluses on my hands. When your Scag gets a little older, the chrome plating will flake off the handles, and the flakes will jab your hands. Ouch! It makes you let go in a hurry, so it could be dangerous. I took my grinder, with a wire-wheel, and buffed off the remaining chrome. I was going to coat it with rubber, but never got around to it.

At first, I didn't really know what he was talking about, but after I saw the picture and the location of it, it all comes back to me now. Almost like a "wear mark" in the side of the thumb. I had those all too well. -John Deere (Bunton) mowers. I TRIED to stay at toward the end of the handlebars as much as I could, but always seemed to end up right there.
