Edger blade life

hey, how long do y'all's edger blades last???what kind is it? Who's is the best

all my accounts have a nice edge i use about ten ayear i buy the cheapest i can if i do a lot of new accounts i use a little more.

I buy the thickest ones that I can find. Haven't tried a star shaped one yet.

I have a person make them for me they are alot longer than the ones you buy and are made of a good tool steel.

I edge 60 lawns every week and use about 2 blades amonth
with the ones i was gettin from the dealers we were puttin on about 2 a week

I feel lucky to get 1 day out of a blade....... do a lot of curb work. justtried a toro blade that lasted 1.5 days and cost was 4.95, no great deal!

ne1 ever tried the premium ECHO blades??? What about tneir bulk blades(Twice as thick)? Or even the Premium Bulk edger blades? I am thinking about trying them...

Have an echo stick and change the blade about twice a week. I buy the ones at Home Depot, two in a pack for around $3.

i was told if you heat treat them they will last longer have not tried it yet
but you heat them up red hot and then dip them in oil?
anyone else heard of this?

We only use the first half inch of blade. After that, the edge just looses the crisp look. You may flip the blade and get a few more yards out of it.

i have a shindawia stick edger and i change my blade every morning. or more if i have a new house on my route

i use my old blades to scrape the decks with got them every where

I use the 4 sided edger blades (star-shaped)...their more expensive, but they leave a much nicer edge and last longer too. I probably get 4 or 5 days out of a blade.
