For you Lawnsite members that have Redmax blowers, what's this I read about the back cushion on the EB7000 being "air conditioned"? Is some of the airflow diverted into a vent system to cool the operator. Their website doesn't give much info about it. It sound like a great idea to me.

It's great!!! It keeps your back cool and the blower from sticking to your back when it's sweatty hot.

Is there an adjustment for it? Can you shut it off in the winter?

correct me if i am wrong but isn't the "AC" on the 7001 model?

They are essentially the same blower. The 7000 has a red colored back pad and the 7001 has a black colored back pad that circulates air.

Its not air conditioning per se but the air moving across certainly helps.

Not to mention they are really strong (about 4.75 Horsepower) and run flawlessly, smooth, and quiet.

My 7000 doesn't have it, but my 7001 does. It is a nice feature, but I never noticed it during the cold months doing leaves.
