Hey guys I picked up a used Echo SRM 3000 string trimmer today. I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this unit. It is in great shape and doesnt look like it was used much. Thanks

That is an excellent trimmer!!

Might be a tad heavy but great power, very smooth etc...

If it is in good shape you got a good deal...it should last a long time!

Nice unit, plenty of power...btw, what did you pay for it?

I only got it for $75 and I thought that was a great price, its in great condition, I just had to do a few adjustments on it and it runs like new. An older guy had it up forsale he said it was to heavy for him. He had a very small yard and it doesnt look like it was used much at all.

The 3000 is one of the higher Echo Trimmer models

I have a 2100 and it needs more power.
I have a 3000 on order right now paid like $275.00

Wish I could have got it for $75.00

Best Of Luck

Where did you get a SRM-3000 for $275??

What a deal...they are $375-$399 around here.

I own two of these and have had them since 1990: one is set up as a trimmer, the other as a tiller. I have replaced the carburators on them both, replaced the fuel filters, as well. They are running as well now as they did when I first got them. According to this website http://www.tractorbluebook.com/Equipment-Blue-Book/Edgers-Trimmers/Echo/SRM-3000, they are worth $439.00 apiece. The only difficulty I have had has been finding parts and accessories for them. Got the carbs from ebay for less than $50 each. Great machines, but not for the weak or faint-of-heart!!!

I can get carb. kits for 25 dollars.

i still have one of those trimmers,l lol. but it is a heavy beast. was my daily trimmer till i got tired of carrying it around. now, it is a back up and or blade trimmer for rough cutting.
