View Full Version : 5 yr old Crape needs transplant

I'm having a room addtion done & there is a 10-15' crape that needs to be moved. How should we go about doing this. We have generally only transplanted smaller shrubs/trees etc. Any help is appreciated.

I have moved Crapes befroe and prune them like always and make sure you dig far enough around them that you dont damage roots and dig the new hole even bigger and it will do just fine.

and read my reply about moving the Apple tree. It should be the same basic procedure.
Best done in fall, but if not, those suggestions work. Only your rootball may weigh up to 300 lbs and need a few people.
Try an anti-transpirant spray too. Did not mention that over on the other.
