EMPIRE Zoysia,

Anyone in Florida have experience with this type of turf?
I am building a new home and want to give this grass a try. I find St. Augustine to high maintenance and coarse for my own lawn.

I know 75% of sod sales in FL are St Augustine.
15% Bahia
10% Bermuda
5% ..other ..I am guessing "other" is Zoysia

In this pic zoysia is in the background and St Augustine closer.

Is this turf this good, or all hype?

Zoysia is premium turf here. Its not easy to say about your picture, but it appears to be zoysia. Zoysia is a very strong and thick turf.
