how much do you all charge to cut townhomes? about 2 weeks ago i went into a neighborhood with townhomes and put up business cards on peoples mailboxes. keep in mind these are small yards. takes anywhere from 10 -15 minutes to mow, weed eat edge. im charging between 8 and 12 dollars a yard. does this seem about right. ive gotten a lot of response. does this mean im not charging enough

If you can make a profit on what you are charging then you would be doing okay... right?

Try to make $1 per minute

It all depends on what you need to make to cover your expenses and make a profit. townhouses can be some quick money if you line enough of them up together.

if they are townhouses that 9 times out of 10 they are controled by an assosiation, which means they will most likly hire one company to to all of them. so if u see the same lines on all of them then dont bother to flyer...just a tip

Ultimate - Why soooo low. You could increase your price by 50% and still be significantly lower. You're leaving a lot of money on the table!

Wow, I say buck a minute here even if it's $10-$15 you'll still be the best rate around...$8 come on I know they are close but $2 more dollars each ain't gonna break their banks and it will help your bottom line especially if you get the whole street.

THE REASON I AM CHARGING $8 IS BECAUSE THE LAWN SERVICE THAT DOES SOME OF THEM NOW CHARGES $9

Same here, I charge at least $25 just to drop my gates on my trailer at any spot. But I guess if I could get a whole bunch next door to each other I could cut them a little bit of a deal.

I do them for right about $8. If I charge any more I won't get any of them. There are tons of guys around here that will do them super cheap...hopefully not for long.

the cheap ones are the people that don't last long in this business.. they just come in and mess the pricing up for the rest of us.. if you charge $8 for a townhome that takes lets say 15 minutes. 15 minutes for the cut... 1 minutes to unload... 1 minute to pack up... lets say 5 minutes to the job.. 5 minutes to the next job.. round it off to 30 minutes.. so your working for $16 a hr.. taxes $4.. working now for $12 hr... then comes gas... for the mower and truck.. now your working for $10 maybe $11 a hr.. not to include insurance.. equipment cost... if you have a line of townhomes in a row and can make i would say $50 in a hr with one person.. than that's fine.. anything lower wouldn't be worth it to me...

Most town homes here are filled with renters. That means lawns, ever so small, are filled with all sorts or treasures. Tend to be slow payers and so far have proved to be 100 percent of my non payers. Most have fenced back yards and are a pain to access. These are the kind of head aches I am trying to dig myself out of. No thanks

I think some of you are missing some important info.

I know you know who above "DA" is mowing a HOA with 150 in a row, some one is incharge of paying it. One bill one invoice.

150 X $8 = $1200, he's not dropping his gate for $8, he's dropping it for $1,200.
