View Full Version : Ride on spreader.

I just bought a PG ride on spreader. What has everyone been spraying for weed control? I usually use lesco product, ie momentum and eliminate. Let me know what you all use? Do you use any tracker? Thanks for your input. :D

A tracker/dye you wont be able to see. Low volume large droplets.

Thank you for your input. It seems weird to only use 1 quart per 1000 sq ft. when I am used to using 2 gallons. Seems to just barely come out. I hope this works. What is your all expierence with the Pg ultra? Any problems? How does the spray system perform for you all? Thanks

I HAVE THE OLDER UNIT BUT I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT. ONE OF MY FRIENDS JUST PURCHASED THE ULTRA. HE HAD USED MY OLD ONE BEFORE AND HE SAID THAT THE ULTRA DOESN'T DRIP AS MUCH AS THE OLDER UNIT. WHEN I SHUT MY SPRAY OFF IT DRIPS A LOT BUT THE NEWER ONE DOESN'T. SURE BEATS WALKING.

I cant believe how much more effient it is so far. I sure dont miss pulling that hose. I am still learning the machine I am using Momentum from lesco and 4 oz per gall for solution. I am waiting to see the results! I had some big factorys that were weedy.

That should yeild you 1oz per a 1000 of MOmentum. Mightbe a little light.
Machine sprayed 32oz of liquid per 1000. 4*4=1.
If your calibrated correctly for 32oz per 1000 you should be mixing 4.8oz per a gallon.
There is no real tricks to these but getting used to them.
And don't forget your sticker

Lawn God Father.....Thank you so much for you input. I talked the John up at PG and he said I would have pump problems if I used sticker....What is your thought on this. Thanks

HUH,...not use sticker
189 hours, I run sticker with all spray's.
Pump is cheap anyways.

thank you LGF what amount of surfactant are you using? I assume you have tried without and the results were very noticable with it? thanks bud

Never tried without, I add 16 oz to 100gal, but that also depends on brand.
If it's going to rain or wet out, I ad 20oz to 100 gal.

I use up to 1 oz/gal. More typically 1/2 (.5) oz/gal. Zero problems. This is for weed control. For insecticides and fungicides I use no sticker.

I use SurfAid at 4oz per 100 gal and get great results. Also, the Gordon's rep told me you don't need surfactant or sticker with Trimec, he said it is in there. Label doesn't list it but it might be in the inert ingriedients.
