Sharpening bent blades

I sharpened 51 blades today. But 5 of them were bent!
Discovered that after they were already sharpened. Grrr...:angry:
Threw the 5 bent ones away.
Anyone else make that mistake?

Yup balance afterwords, the MM balancer shows if they are bent.

:) Yep have had a few of those bent blades, but you should be able to catch it real quick when cutting, i guess they hit something just right and they bend, I keep around 20 sets of blades and only 3 ive ever found bent in 14yrs...so it don't happen very often, after i sharpen and blance i put the blades together and you can see they lay straight.......Marks Mowing Service

Bent blades are a pain but you are right that they go straight into the trash.
