My striping kit is made out of chains. Alot of the time they will use the big reel mowers to stripe up the fields. They do an awesome job of striping.

My fairways and greens stripe.
Reel mowers must have a roller to have HOC (height of cut). I think mostly the rollers on a reel mower do the striping.

Either a wieghted roller or chains are usually used. I have seen a lot of larger mowers with chains instead of the roller.

Jeff_0 I too have a Bob-Cat ZTR. Mine is the 52" cut. I made my striping kit which consisted of two small steel brackets, 1/4" all thread, about 50' of chain cut into 14" links (I think), and 4 nuts (One at the end of the chains on the inside of the bracket, and a nut on the outside of the bracket). I fixed mine so that it dosen't extend past the frame of the mower. The tires will lay down the stripe from there. I'll try to post a picture before long so maybe you can see what I'm talking about. The mower itself does good striping but the chains enhance the stripes even more.
