Try find a 3/4 ton pickup. A 3/4 ton will hold up to a lot more than a 1/2 ton. Everyone will give you a different opinion on what brand of truck to go for, but my recommendation would be a mid 80s or early 90s Chev. We have always used mainly Chevy trucks and have had very good luck with them. I've got three with over 250,000 kms on them and none of them burn oil yet.

If you're not going to do a lot of heavy hauling a 1/2 ton truck will do just fine. I've been pulling 3,000 pounds with mine for over 4 years now and mine has held up very well. You can get a newer, nicer 1/2 ton Ford or Chevy.

I see you are 16 in your profile. Are you working for yourself?
Any pickup truck will do if you are just pulling a WB but be sure to talk to your insurance provider and be sure to get commercial insurance coverage on the vehicle.
You are more visible in a truck with a trailer and more likely to have a problem replacing your stuff or paying for an accident if you are at fault while doing commercial work if you dont have commercial coverage.
Talk to your insurance agent. The insurance is a must and it is a business expense also, your tax preparer will be able to help you with that.

I use a GMC Seirra 1500, 2002 4 door. It does great. I also have a Toy. I like the Toyota also. But pulling wise I like the GMC the best.
My insurance for commercial coverage is only an extra $20.00 bucks a month. I use State Farm. I think that is very important.
