Does anyone own an Exmark Turf Tracer 60" with the kawasaki 23hp.

How do you like it?

How does it cut?

How much $ ?

I have a few customers that do not like to see the 60" rider on their lawn  So I'm thinking of getting the 60" walkbehind. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback:waving:

Why would they even care? Are you tearing up their lawn. Or is it your are getting the job done to fast for them?

Some customers just fill that the rider is either to big or it is to fast. I'll try to educate them about the rider not being a problem. In fact I tell them it cuts better then the w/b's, but you can't get them all. Out of 60 accounts only five are w/b's only. I don't mind.:D

The WB weighs 250# less has smller tires has more PSI per a sq inch than the rider.

It's not that much different, if you have to spend $6000 for a machine to do a hand full of lawns, you don't need them.

250lbs & add the weight of the operator.

You need to add the weight of the operator to the WB too...unless you're actually going to walk behind it. Does anyone still do that?

06-28-2003, 11:44 AM
Darryl very true, but they would ride on their own set of wheels, which would make even more ground psi..

On softer ground the additional weight of the operator on the rider is a factor.

My employees will walk behind the units on certain props & achieve better looking results.

They have less flotation than the ZTR, and actually rut the lawn rather than just leaving mud tracks.

Also if you can walk behind it and still mow, a ZTR will do an almost identical job to walking behind a WB, plus you feet don't get wet.

The next option is.............don't mow it if it's to wet.

It's going to boils down to what you want to do, and I personally won't buy a mower for such a little return you will get in this situation.

We don't cut in the rain but the ground is often soft on many of our upscale res. accounts.

The Tracer produces a much nicer finish.

Where are these pics of your operation, we know you have access to a camera now.

I seem to remember this classic when asked about the sites demise.

"You gonna pay my hosting fees?"

Heyultimate, if you know he did it in Photoshop, it kinda proves you have knowledge of photoshop and you might have just done this in photoshop too.

If you look closely at the "property of ultimate lawn sign" you will see a cream colored border at the bottom edge. Looks like he left a little there when he did the cut and paste to that photo.

I am thinking of selling my 52" zrt and getting a 60" TT myself. I am finding that I just like wb's more. I fell I can trim better with it.

07-01-2003, 10:46 PM
John Gamba- is the 23 Kohler better than the Kaw? The local dealer said to go with the kaw. I was quoted $6700 for the TT60 with the Kaw- Good price or Not? Thanks Joel

That sounds A Little High. Kohler Has had problems in the past But It look's Like there over For Now :D . The Kaw's i Hear about Are Doing thing's Like eating spark Plugs And so On. when i Had The TT 52 23 Kohler It Rocked. Would Start faster in the Cold Then My FI's Would.

See if You Can Take On Or the other Out. I'll Post what i Can Get One For BUT The One My Dealer Had To Get For a Costumer Had The Kaw On It And They Had To Drive far To pick it Up. There Seems To Be a Big Demand For 60" TT's This Year.

07-02-2003, 10:53 PM
I was wrong I was quoted $6500 for the TT60'' w/kaw. Does the Kaw come with the Nelson Air Filter like the Kohler? I have the local reps cell # so I'm going to see if he has one I can look at. This past week I'm starting to HATE my Ferris w/bs:mad: Joel

07-02-2003, 11:45 PM
It does now, was not offered before then it was an upgrade and you had to rejet carb, now it come standard on the Kaw.

John Gamba

They Did Make The 24EFI But It cost the same to Make it as it Did For the 26. You would Pay 5 To 7 Hundred Dollers More.
