Can anyone tell me how I am suppose to know about how many flowers (annuals) I need to plant etc. How do I present this to them and what about unexpected limb trimming or cleanups or repairs (irrigation).

I don't do commercial accounts, but I think the way this business works is you make very little on the mowing, because this is a fixed ongoing expense and most businesses will get at least three bids. Lowest bidder will usually win the business.

My uncle in KC does a lot of commercial and he says he makes very little on regular mowings. But what he's discovered is that these same business customers will not request three separate bids when it's time to plant annuals. They just ask the regular lawn guy to do it and he makes a ton on annuals, pruning, mulching, etc. because he knows it's not going out for bid.

Personally, I don't have any commercial accounts. I just want to fill my entire schedule with residential accounts.
