Will stressed grass come back?

It's getting dry here. I recommended to a customer to skip a week of mowing becuase her lawn was dry and didn't want to run the mower over it. Sure enough, this week there were some tire tracks that left stressed grass. Looks just like fertilizer burn, but it's not. Will the the stressed grass come back with the proper amount of watering?

Most of the time it will come back.

Ususally stressed grass will come back, water the heck out of it.

Most of us are probably wonderin if floating grass will come back! :D

I'd posted this pic earlier in the season thinking this homeowner had killed his lawn for sure. It all came back! But that was in the spring.
