How about none of the above. I like my husqvarnas. Never let me down, dealer close to me drops whatever if there is a problem. I can not say anything bad about any others, I just don't like to monkey around with a good thing.

Shindiawa...... very light, very powerful. And it starts on the first or second pull in the morning. Then the first pull after that.

Son has a Shin, I've had my Kawasaki for 2 years and love it. Easy start, light and plenty of power. No repairs at all

Where's Husqvarna on the list?

I'm a lawnacare dealer and also maintain our local mountain bike trails and have the opportunity to use all makes of trimmers available. A normal days usage is around 6 hours straight runtime so I have a pretty fair idea of what works and what doesn't.

Husqvarna (326LX) is probably the best I've used. It's only 9.9 lbs. for a 24.5cc unit that raps out at 11,800 RPM.

The Shindaiwa T2500 is also a great trimmer but it's a pound heavier and $40 more than the 326LX.

The worst trimmer I've used (for trailwork).....
Stihl FS80/FS85.
Heavy, tempermental in starting and way underpowered. I can stall the head or shutoff the trimmer in the thicker stuff. I've never had the Husqvarna or Shindaiwa shutdown on me yet.

I see so many Stihl's. People are always ranting about the FS85. That son of a buck must weigh 16 pounds.
But you can get them worked on anywhere.
I don't want it worked on..... I want it to work.

A guy let me demo a FS80 last week. What a bad excuse for a trimmer.

My next trimmer will be a Shindiawa..... no doubt in my mind.

ive used shindaiwas for years, with 0 probs, i bought 2 kawasakis year before last, they are so much lighter with equal power and the head is much easier to reline. i also bought the new shin t2500 i dont like it at all, i converted it to a hedge trimmer.
