Anyone ever pay someone to distribute fliers? If so, how much?

Before someone calls me lazy, my step daughter wants to needs some money for school and I feel better about paying her to do some work than just giving her the money.

So, how much should I pay her to go door to door putting out fliers?

:D

Hi Mtdmaster,

Here are two threads for you.

I hire out to put my fliers on doors. Pay $40 per 1000. (http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11676)

The kids liked it since they got paid $7.50 an hour (http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49590)

I pay a guy who owns a pizza shop (locally) to put my door hangers out with his for .06 each.

Around here it normally runs about .11-.12 each for a distribution co. to do it.

I am told that the door-hanger pros do about 150 per hour.

I use a delivery service all the time. the difference is your relative is delivering one flyer, yours. the company delivers numerous flyers in one bag. They both have there pros and cons. With numerous flyers, the people are more app. to look through them. when sending out flyers, in my experience they are very time sensitive. Aeration has to be sent right when areation are due, mowing, right when people are or should be looking for a service, and don't expect large percentage's calling. I think it is a great fairly inexpensive advertisement. Make sure your flyer is eye catching, does'nt have to be four color on glossy paper but make it eye catching.

I go out with my two sons and pass out flyers. We get the word out, and grab people's attention. The boys like to get out, and it gives momma a break. Also, gives dad some valuable time with his sons, especially with working some long days I don't get to see them enough.
Let's all remember why we break our backs every day here, it's all for the family!
Never forget who you work for! I'd work 25 hours a day for them if I could figure out how.

I am paying a guy .15 a flyer to hand mine out.. That works out to 75.00 per 500.00..

From the sounds of it I may be paying him too much!

spent two hours last week putting flyers out and it got me two contracts. And that was only approx 250 homes.

My flyers are real simple just state what services I offer and I print them on 25 pound white paper with a laser printer. Cost me approx. $60.00 for two thousand just on print cart.
