View Full Version : lawn dying in spots....

during the spring time I laid sods on my front lawn to replace the rocks and ground cover that was kept their by the previous owners. However, the grass looks like it is dying, but only in certain spots. There are places in the lawn were it is a very healthy green color, but only a couple of feet away it can be almost dirt with barely a blade of grass.

After the sods were placed it was watered very regularly, although sometimes in the very late evening I'm afraid.

I have not done a Ph test yet because I figured that if it was a Ph problem then the whole lawn would be dying. The same amount of soil was used underneath as well.

Is there anything that I can do to save the lawn in these spots (which are getting bigger with time), or should I wait until the fall and try lime and fertilizer in hopes of fixing it for the next summer?

See if you can look through this site and find your exact problem

Saying brown spots or patches can be several problems, though not all at one time....:)

I'll give that a shot.
