Exmark TriVantage Deck VS Exmark UltraCut Deck
What do you think about these two decks?
Personally, all I've used is the TriVantage deck. On some lawns with thicker grass or faster growing grass it pretty much stinks. On the lawns where you cut very little off it does great. Would you be able to tell the difference between the two different decks? Or is it barely noticeable?
Thanks!!!

On The Taller Lawns The Ultracut Cuts Like The Tri On Shorter Lawns But You Will Have To Experience The ULTRACUT Deck On SHORTER Lawns To See For Your Self.

you can tell the difference. the ultra definitely does better in heavier grass.

The Flow control Baffles are similar but the Ultra Cut has an eXtra .5".

one big question here, mulch kit or discharging? i demoed an ultracut and just discharged, it rocked. the tri-vantage does a good job, but in wet thick stuff there is a difference.
still hoping for a lazer hp with an ultra cut...

You Might See The Ultracut On The HP In 04?

I have both, tri on 48 w/b ultra on 60 lazer both work well the deeper ulta seems to have more suction.
The only deck offered in BOTH is the 52"
You'd need someone with a 52" Lazer and a 52" Lazer HP with the same Horsepower, and mowing side by side.
My thoughts are that the smaller decks don't NEED the extra height of the UltraCut.

Bumpkiss.
The smaller decks would benefit from the added depth just as the larger decks do. This is especially true when the Micro Mulch kit is installed as the smaller decks share similar chamber sizes.
They Need to put Ulta Cuts on the 48" WB's as Well.

No you should just buy a Lazer then UDAL....
half inch deeper, everything else is the pretty much the same.
It is a lot better to have the deeper deck, but not offered don't help any.
I just bought a 03 Lazer 60" Ultracut and love it! Previously I ran a 52" Trivantage on my Lazer Z HP. The Trivantage cut pretty good, but I can say that the Ultracut seems to do a better job. I was getting fed up with the strips the Trivantage left when the blades weren't razor sharp towards the end of the day. The Ultracut has cut well in all conditions so far, and I've tested it in just about everything. I've only put 50 hours on it, but that is enough to convince me to stick with the Ultracut in the future. I am speaking of discharging only, I haven't tried the mulch kit on the 60 yet.
