need help fast w/ scag peerles tranny coupler questoin

The right coulpler on my scag peerless tranny is moving out and hitting the tension spring on the outside, i through the setscrew would hold that in place so i tightened it down but then realized that is not what HOLDS the coupler from moving over that far, i know they all move a little bit, but they aren't suppose to move over and hit the spring like this, what can i do to fix this and what holds it in place?? thanks

looks like an e-clip tore into it more and found the missing part, sure home ace hardware has one!!
