View Full Version : Trailer decision

I can not decide to buy a 6'5" X 12 landscape trailer with 4 ft sides.
or a 6'5" X 12 trailer with 18" solid sides.
i like the idea of the security of the high sides as far as theft goes.
I have a 18 horse walker 48" deck and a 52" deck Hustler fastrak
and a john deere push mower, and various other items. Trimmers, etc....
An enclosed trailer is out of the question.
Any input would be great.
The 18" sideed trailer is a great looking trailer, that may be why I like it so much. Picture to follow.

H&H trailer 18" sides. Well painted no over spray. However I wonder if the 4' side landscape trailer would serve me better.
Thanks for any help

i have a 16ft with four foot expanded sides...got a killer deal on it..gald i got it now...although it would be nice once and a while to not have have to drop the gate to get something real quick out of the trailer...but then, i guess that is a major advantage also...keeps the perps from doing the same thing...

My first question is about the Walker and another rider fitting in a 12' trailer. Seems like it would be a little tight to me. I have a 16' on one trailer just about maxed out with a Walker, 21" WB, edger, 32" WB, and 52" WB.

Paponte, that is a good point. I think both mowers will fit with out any problem. I have been using a 5'X10' for the fastrak 20/52 and the 21"er. Very tight fight. No room for trimmers, etc.... been putting all the other stuff in the back of my truck (pain in the butt)
I am picking up my walker 18/48 GHS Saturday, I think that the 3 will fit, however I will put the ole tape measure to the mowers.
I do not want a tight squeeze.
Thanks to all for your input.
