View Full Version : Mower Tire Links

I am looking for a smoother thread for the back tires on my new diesel Chopper and it is an odd ball size, 25/12/9. I have found one link - http://shop.cedarrapidstire.com/ but I was wondering if any of you have other links so I could look at other tread designs. DC only carries the Boss 2 deep lug tires and I have had several guys ask me about some not so aggresive tires. :) Thanks in advance
I needed 2 new tires for my Grasshopper. The dealer wanted about $90 for each of them. I bought them at Cedar Rapids Tire for $43 each. The same exact tire!
Check your local tire shop. My local shop carries and can get any ATV type tire out there. Carlisle Tire makes the Turf CTR for dixie. Maybe pick up a magazine for 4-wheelers, I'm sure that they have some links to tire wholesalers. That or just let those Boss's wear down so they aren't so aggressive. Or you can buy a Lazer and have the correct tire from the factory! LOL
Seriously, these are the things that steered me away from buying another Dixie. Great traction, but...great traction where you dont really need it too! Also they aren't the greatest on side hills, mine seem to slide sideways when the y get old.

Eric, I didn't check for your specific size.

This is where I got my Carlisle Turf Maters for my Kees. They had what I considered a good price on them. They may not have what you are looking for, but maybe someone else can find the tire they need.

Eric, the 25/12/9 used to be the most popular ATV tire size for larger work type ATV's in the 80's and 90's.If you have a JC witney catalogue-look in it for sizes and tread styles.I know you can find something not as aggressive ,but it will probably be a wider contact patch if its the urf saver type, thses scuff too because fo the width of the contact area, they twist the grass when turning.I buy a lot of my tires and parts from R&R products in arizona, they are more golf stuff, but they have a large tire selection. They are excellent to order from and you'll have your parts in 2 days at the most.http://www.rrproducts.com/
