Have to go out today and take care of some window boxes (rain won't do the job) other than that it is a 'kick back day'..

Equipment maintenance at home here-wouldn't think of invading someone's Holiday privacy with us making noise on their property, or bothering their neighbors.

Me and 3 of my guys were planning on it, but about 4am this morning it started raining pretty hard and it's miserable out right now. We did advance 4 commercials over the weekend cause I kind of saw this weather predicted for Labor Day.

I was gonna work a little today. It rained last night so I may just chill today. This will be my first whole day off in 2 months.

With the kind of weather they have predicted for the week, I had one guy come in yesterday and we worked all day and then had two guys come in today and work until Noon. Try to get ahead of the weather would hate to be really far behind at the end of this week. Oh well fall is on the way. Just my two cents

I was supposed to work today, but the rain took care of that. I never bothered to check the weather(I got out of the habit since it hasn't rained here in what seems like forever) I had no idea it was supposed to rain today. Oh well, no rain in the forecast tomorrow.

I was planning on knocking off a cemetery, but steady medium rain since 5 am.
At least the sunlight is dropping off now and it shouldn't get too thick.

At the annual "are you working today" holiday post. Well yes we did. Didnt ruin any cookouts here, they must have been at the beach. No traffic either. Mada a promise to be home at 2:30 and kept it. 2 commercial and 19 residential lawns today. Plus 2 flat tires, and a pulley gone bad, but will avoid working on saturday.

I'll try to get some pics of the new shop!

Finished 22 today before the rains hit hard. So I have an extra six to do tomorrow. Will be behind rest of week as just don't want to bust it this week to make up three hours. Have worked 45 straight days even though only 4-5 hours on Sundays. I am starting to get a little tired. over 18" of rain in August!

No work here today. It rained part of the day. Didn't plan on working anyhow. All I need to do is get the August billing done tonight.

No mowing today but I did......
1. 2 large pine stumps early (Stump Grinding)
2. Till a garden spot.
3. 10 stumps at another location.
4. Boxblade drive, move some topsoil and level, cut dead tree.

Had a decent payday.......

It rained early this morning so I did a little maintenance, but as soon as it dried out I was able to get in almost 6 hours before getting rained out again. Can't complain since I consider it job security. I just hope these weather patterns change before fall. Nothing worse than wet leaves when you don't have a billy goat vac at your disposal.

Did some of my larger commercial accounts. Prime time to get those done. Tallahassee was almost deserted while I was puttering about.

One of my accounts had two die hard work-a-holics at their desks doing some important paper work no doubt (both drove SUV's). The local student population blessed my accounts with tons of beer bottles. Glad I'm an American but I have no respect or fondness for students- they drive too fast, think the world revolves around them and they play their music so loud I can hear it 5 blocks away. The only thing good about them is I charge a dollar a minute to clean up their self indulgent life style, and the customer pays it.

Cordially,
Sheppard
