Business Name

Im pondering the ideas for what to call my business,is there any way you can tell if the name is taken by someone else,and if it is in a different state or what not ,can you still use it.Im a little confused on this one...Thanks

Go to the County Clerks office and file a "certificate of fictitious name"

They will tell you if your name is already in use in your area by another company.
