I have about 5 large brown spots in my yard. They are almost perfectly round and about 1.5 feet across. What is it?

Do you have a big dog. A female dog? Without seeing them its hard to tell. But dog urine (especially females) will burn the lawn. If you fertilize your lawn it will burn even easier. Dog urine contains nitrigen. Females have a higher concentrate.

Is there a female dog around? If so dog urine damage.

Could be Dog Urine, Fertilizer spill, Fusarium patch, Fusarium blight, brown patch, dollar spot, sod webworm... Could be all those.. why dont you be a little more specific in explaining what the grass looks like.. Whats you weather been like, humidity, temp (day and night) average for last week.....

It sounds almost like Fusarium Blight; What do you think, Ray?

Bermuda lawn. Dark green and thick, but in about 5 spots it is dead in a small circle. About 1.5 feet across. Just happened within the last 2 weeks. Everything around it is still perfect.

What are/were night time temps, humidity, and has the lawn been watered at night? Is or was it soild or doughnut shaped? Either way sounds like a fungus, if it was mine I would mow shorter and apply a fungicide. Clean mower and tires after mowing and avoid allowing tires to contact dead patches.

I knew I saw lights and heard strange sounds about 2 weeks ago.
