what are the better brands of slit seeders availible from rental shops? I used a bluebird model yesterday and all I have to say is it was terrible. Belt kept jumping off. Tensioner finally quit. Motor seemed down on power. Seed hopper was impossible to set correctly. Is this normally a good brand or what? For some reason, never having used one before, I was under the impression that the seed delivery operation was different than just having basically a drop spreader on the back of the machine. Would any of the pros perusing this forum please comment.

I'm certain that was part of it and I don't really expect to get top notch equipment from a rental shop. So does this mean that, generally, Bluebird equipment is good quality.
