Weed Eater tractor steering problems

Hello,
I have a Weed Eater 2 cylinder 16hp lawn tractor. Lately the steering has gotten really bad to the point where I stopped using it. I steers to the right just fine but when you turn the wheel left, the steering wheels makes a clicking noise and jumps around and the wheels don't move. This makes the steering wheel unaligned w/ the wheels themselves. Does anyone know what the problem is and if you do email me at jugwine@msn.com

poulan products are what you consider toss away units. use them all you can until they break and toss them out and buy new ones. Depending on how old the machine is it could be several things.From Bad tie rods, wheel bearing, bent spindle to a worn worm gear and encentric on the steering shaft. The only way to know would be for you to actually get in there and check eveything out. No one here can tell you exactly what the problem is with out seeing it first hand.Good luck
