Mullets are most generally reserved for those that drive a Z-28 with t-top and leppard print seat covers, wear acid washed jeans with high top sneakers and a jean jacket with ozzy pin, while on their way to an Iron Maiden show with their 4 year old son that looks and dresses the same.

One local raido station even has a talk show, called "Mullet Talk". The show for people with the short hair on top and long hair in the back type of person and the lifestyle they lead.

I always thought mullet was a small fish used for bait when fishing the ocean.

AAAHHHH the mullet... They are very popular here amongst a
sub culture called bogans. They live in caravans(trailers),
don't work,wear flanelette shirts and mocasins. Their main
mission in life is to convert alcohol into urine. The joys of Australian society. :)
