I lived in Camden for 1 year back in '86-'87. My dad got transferred there by LTV Aerospace and Defense. We lived at 813 Dennis St. in those townhouse/duplexes. I attended Fairview Middle School. A year later dad got a transfer here to East Tennessee where I still live. I haven't been back to Camden since. How has it changed over the course of 16 years? Is that rotten smelling paper mill still there?

Thanks for the info. I am glad to hear that they built new schools. Those buildings were old when I was there. I will have to tell my dad about LTV. 813 Dennis St., where I lived, was on the left hand side of the road. Who knows, it could have been the same one your friend lived in. Just before we left there was a lot of turmoil for us and our neighbors, because the owner of our building and the building next door to it were filing bankruptcy. It was a total fiasco. Those are times we try to forget! LOL Are those duplexes still in good condition? They were only 2-3 years old when we moved in.

No offense Potchkins, but the worst 8 weeks of my life was spent in East Camden at the Fire Acadamy. And the smell was there I don't know how yall did it.

The fastest growing part of the state, the NWA corridor. Great place to do business. Hope everyone is having a good winter. Can't wait for spring already, I am watching the snow fall big time right now.
