I have a eb7000 and the switch will not shut it down. I have taken the handle apart and there doesn't seem to be anything broken/ the contacts appear to be touching.
Any ideas on what is the problem?????
One of my trimmers did this once. It was a wire between the switch and the engine ( closer to the engine). The wire had just come undone.

I second bobs comment there are some bullet connectors near the engine and lower than back supports that we re-connect from time to time with the same scenario

Its the wire off the coil... its real easy to fix, 25 minutes at the most... it should be the wire that plugs into the screw near the coil.. when switched off it uses the wire with the screw to cause a ground and turn off.

There is a connector plug that can get unpluged. Its a white/clear connector.
