Best source of advertisement

I was wondering since this is my first fall to work through, what is the best way to get more customers. Already did flyers during the summer and got a nice call from the post master about not touching mailboxes. Is doing a direct mailing a good solution? More money involved printing and posting and purchasing mailing lists.........


I already have a steady client base but would like to expand using fall cleanup as a selling point.

Any input would be appreciated..........

i wouldnt do direct mailing. go to your local hard ware store, grocery store, church, hosptital(sick/injured people cant mow lawns), talk to some contractors. put them on bulliten boards. Put a advertisement on your truck with your company name and number.

I agree with tiedeman.
I will land more accounts by refferal than any other way. I could put out 5000 flyers and maybe land 5 or so and get 10 referals and land 9. good luck.

I agree that referrals works best. I offer a $10.00 discount to my customer for referring a new customer. This is a great way to pick up new customers.

This all depends on the relationship that you have with your customers. If you are on time, complete the job in a timely manner, they will be happy to refer their friends and family.
