View Full Version : My new, used dump insert.

Just had a dump insert installed. It was used, only 1 1/2 years old, but it came out of another lco's 1/2 ton and saw only grass and mulch. It was 1/2 the price of a new one. I think I will be Rhino lining it next spring. It will help out alot with leaves and firewood this fall. I think I will leave the insert in this winter and just take off the cab protector and side boards. A little different backing up with my mirrors all the time, no more cheating by looking out the back window. What do you all think.

NYRoookie, is that a 6' bed?

I would recommend against Rhino Lining the insert. If you do you will have trouble dumping grass and mulch, especially if it is damp.
I also have as ez dumper. I would recommend you stock up on an extra battery solenoid, also the up and down solenoid. If you burn out the up or down sometimes they are hard to get. Just my 2 cents. I also had the motor replaced under warranty. Had alot of troubles with mine although I think its a great idea. Must have got the lemon of the bunch.
PS just curious how much did you pay. I may be selling mine.

Gogetter, yes it is a 6' bed. That is why they are hard to find, new or used.
AA961jester, I hope I don't have the problems you had. I payed $1400 for it. A new 6'er with the cab protecter, tarp roll and some side boards would have been $2800 plus tax.
