What is the best watering schedule for shrubs and hedges. Is it frequent short waterings or less frequent good soaking????

Hi Gilbert,

We need a little more information from you. What type of shrubs/soil? What about sun exposure? How long have they been planted? With these answers, I'm sure you can get some anwers. Good luck.

Sorry... the shrubs and hedges are about a year old...its been a HOT (100's) summer but the temps are dropping to about 85 during the day and about 58 - 65 at night. I live in western Riverside county in California. The ground is covered with barkdust and the soil stays moist for awhile. Oh and they get direct sunlight for the better part of the day. Some of the topside leaves have a yellowish tint. But for the most part the shrubs and hedges look healthy. Is using a spray fertilizer a good idea in fall, for the shrubs??? Thanx for the help. :o
