I scalped my lawn t 1.5", aerated, applied starter fertilizer, and overseeded over the weekend last week. I overseeded last Monday with turf-type tall fescue. The weather here in eastern Ohio has been below normal during this last week (highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's) and we didn't have any frost. I've been regulary watering the lawn, but have not seen any sprouting yet.
I know it takes 7-10 days for the seeds to germinate. Is it possible that the colder temperatures have prevented the seeds from germinating? The weather is supposed to warm up this week. Will these seeds germinate or is it too late?
Thanks.
