Pro has started a e mail list with a bunch of "experts".
I for one don't need any more spam than I get now.
If you dont want to a forum message you have the option of not clicking on the hyperlink.
But with these e mail lists you get every reply to every dumb question right in your inbox.
If sombody does sign up for it please post a couple of the better questions that have been already asked here and let us know (spy) if there are any good replies.

As far as "competition" there will never be any for LawnSite.com.
They are only helping me out as far as im concerned.... I will let them spend the big advertising $$'s and as soon as their members find out about LawnSite.com they will come to us and won't return.
Thanks "competition" !! I appreciate it!
Also, if you guys really want T-shirts let me know. I have the commercial heat press. If someone wants to come up with a design and nice layout pass it along.
BTW... I have never spent more than $25 in a month for avertising and have never spent money to be seen in a magazine. All my published articles are because you guys at lawnsite.com have made this into a industry leader and something worth talking about.

I like it and I think it would be a great T shirt with that on it. It has the URL built in. :)

How about if we just make it racing style looking jersey and have smaller adds all over it like Exmark, Dixie, Toro, Echo, etc.? That would be cool! No, in all honesty, do we REALLY think T shirts would be a good idea? It would certainly spread the word, and I would enjoy meeting people at shows with common shirts, but unfortunately, it would spread the word to EVERYONE out there. Do we really want our customers, and potential customers seeing our pricing strategy, or shortcuts and such? I think I was told no earlier in a similar thread. Talk about having lurkers! Just my 2cents. Charles, I have a friend that does computerized embroidering and if I print the logo, she can scan it and copy it. If you'd like, and I have your permission, perhaps I can have us some patches made. Let me know.

I have done a fair amt of graphic arts in the past, & I think the best way to choose would be for us to submit ideas, then have the top 5 or 10 (or whatever) posted in a thread with pics of each one, then have a vote, & maybe could even settle for 2 winners; one may be flashy or eye-catching, & one for a more subtle, formal look. Just some ideas. I'll see if I can come up with anything.

I like the t-shirt idea. Runner, who cares if the customers see the pricing strategy, then they will understand when the price goes up... I have nothing to hide... I'm in business to make money!

Sorry, I care and agree with Runner. Did 2 lawn aeravations and several deep-root fertilizations today, each with very good profits. I'm sure if the customers knew what profit I made they would not have been as receptive. Some understand, some don't, I just prefer that info stay between us and they not know.

Runner-I think racing style shirts would be cool! Kinda like Fox, MSR, Thor, etc.. I would have to agree with you to for Kirby's same reason. I just can't see having customers see our inside secrets.
Stone & Scag,
I've been involved with that other forum (as a lurker for the most part, since I haven't really had any good answers to questions I've seen there) and I assure you that the information being shared there is comparable to what is being shared here, and that the members are respected & successful peers of ours. Stone is correct in that the format is not a good one & for some reason they won't change to a format like this one, so I agree that it is a pain to be part of it for the reasons Stone mentions. However the content and value of the information there is equal to what we share here. What Pro magazine is doing is making a separate subject area to a forum already conducted by one of the GI software companies for people that have that software. Apparently, since they advertised it in their magazine, the Pro forum is open to anyone who cares to join. But the format is a pain, and it will certainly not be competition for Lawnsite (although I'm not sure if their intentions are to "compete").

Hello Evervbody:
This is really a new frontier & everybody wants a piece of the pie.
There is a select few of us out there with websites & a few of us with multiple websites, that is Green Industry related. We want to all be part of it. I wouldn't really say compete or put others out of business.
When you started your business did you tell yourself you wanted it all or you wanted to put so & so out of business. I hope not, we all just want a piece of the pie. That's all.
If you look out there, plenty of other successful websites that work together & together they all have something to offer. You can't say well I'm going to take it all & I'm not going to help or share with others.
Look at Chuck he helps promote one of my websites, Lawnservicing.com & I help promote one of his. It's all about working together.
This internet is very big & it's just getting started. LOL, there is plenty of room for 100's more just for the Green Industry. To be successful it takes others, no one person can do it by themself.
You will see in time that a lot of the Green Industry websites will work together promoting others. Why? Well really they are all individual sites & folks go there because they like it. Just like why you have your customers & other Companies have thiers.
It's all about working together & having the same goals.
