Wouldn't be worrying a lot about it, I know you want something you think will bw catchy and stick in peoples minds, doesn't happen often.
Stick with biz name, contact info, and BRIEF headings for the type of work you do.

thanks rusticgoat. i believe im going to stick to that plan. thanks again

Good idea from Rusticgoat....I too would stick with your current plan. The only suggestion I would make is to design out a large gold key with your name around it somewhere and put in quotes your slogan about the key to quality or service is the key (I can't remember exactly what you posted).

Ben,

I have not mentioned this before, but im very curious why you want to use the name "collegiate landscaping." Have you not thought about the future when you are out of school? The name collegiate has a negative connotation for me, almost like half baked work from a college kid on summer break. Why dont you choose a name now that will fit you for as long as you choose to be in business. That way, if you choose to go on with this after college, then you will have a name that doesnt need changing and therefore loose any name recognition that you may build under your business name.

im out of college. i just thought of something youthful and eager. i was trying to wait and post this with my new logo i have in the works. so when i get the logo finished please let me know what you think then. ill post as soon as it is complete.

If you are sticking with the college theme, how about...

"Taking your lawn to a higher degree"

or something along those lines.

I do agree, people remember your name more than anything, and your logo. Make that catchy, and people will remember. What they will remember on top of everything is your quality of work!

twins lawn that is a very catchy line. would you mind if i use that? right now i have "The Masters in lawn care and service" but i would like to use yours in there as well. i think i can really work that in to my logo.

Collegiate

I propose changing your biz name to

Benjamin Lawns
"Quality is the key"

And use Benjamin Franklin holding a KEY as your logo. ;)

Then "the key" is used over and over in your marketing....

MacLawnCo

Hey Collegiate,
if you ever get any jobs out in Chicagoland, you know who to refer them to!

Hey, how about I change my request from a candy bar to some nice fresh crab legs, seeing as though you're over on the east coast!

Look forward to seeing your logo!

"The Masters in lawn care and service"

That's good but "The Masters in lawn care" sounds better and smooth.

I like the Franklin idea, but doesn't The Key have to do with a Kite?

how do you attach the logo to your post from photoshop illustrator?

You have to export a JPEG out of either program.

Re: the logo: looks very nice but the slogan "The Masters of LawnCare and Maintenance" is sort've double speak isn't it? I mean LawnCare is Maintenance right?

hey Collegiate,
It looks good!
I like the pennant idea, just a comment, maybe you can have them put your name actually in the pannant, so it looks like all pennants do, and may be easier to point out that it is a pennant.
Catchy slogan!:D

I agree with the twins, I have been sitting here trying to figure out what your logo is. I dunno??? Until the twins said it was a pennant I was baffeled! I think the writing should be ON the pennant. that way you can tell it's a pennant.
