View Full Version : Leaf Clean-up Pallet Idea

Someone said that they use pallets in their trailer to pull the leaves out. I am considering trying this method since a few people said it works pretty well. I was wondering if anyone has some pictures of their setup. So i can get a idea as to what i need to do to make it work right. Any pictures or ideas would be much appreciated.

Ahh,... a rope and a pallet. Wouldn't be that great of picture, though.:D

Loaded with leaves you may need a bull to pull the pallet off the trailer.

Or you could use a tree to pull it off

I am going to try that method this year myself. We'll see if it speaks for itself. I will be unhooking my trailer at the dump and using my truck to pull the pallets off my trailer. Wish me luck!

My dump broke middle of the season. Stand a pallet up in the front of the bed. I tied a chain to the pallet, with the other end near the rear of the bed. When the truck was full, I took a rope and tied it to the end of the chain. The other end went around a tree and I drove foward slowly. Worked really well without a dump.

I have done that method for 3 years now...my local dumps have a cement pole just for that reason for pulling stuff out of the back of the trucks. I will get you a picture of the trailer settup asap.

I just bought another electric dump insert. It was attached to a 1993 Ford F350 4 door truck. I took the dump off today and am going to mount it on a trailer I have. The truck will be going back to an auction and should pull enough money that I will have the dump insert for free. The truck has a gas motor and seems to work pretty decent but I don't have a need for another one.
