When they are brand new these baggers are great but with 4 welds already broken I question some of the craftsmenship of this product. It is barely hanging in there.Seeing moderate use this bagger will barely make it through it's second season.

Sorry you have not had the best experience with our catcher. We try very hard to make our units as durable as possible. Even though your unit is out of warranty, we will be happy to repair it at no charge. Just ship it back to us this winter (when your season is done) and we will take care of it for you. Give me a call at the office to set it up.
PS- I suspect that you have an older unit made several years ago. Even though you purchased it 18 mo's ago, it may have been built quite a bit before that (it may have been sitting at the distributor for quite a while).

I just purchased an Accelerator catcher because of the weight difference between the aluminum and steel models not to mention how great it works and all the people that have them and speak highly of them. The weld on a steel model will not break if welded right but aluminum will not take as much vibration as the steel will with out fracturing because it is more brittle. (Lest likely to bend but it will break). To me the weight difference far out weighs the durability of the steel model, but I can always re-weld the aluminum or the steel with my Mig welder. And if you donít have a welder to do the repairs with, I can assure this is one of the companyís that will take care of you. You can probably take it to a heli-arc shop and they should weld the fractures for under $20.00 if you were close to me I would do it for free. Good luck

That would be great I will even powerwash it for you. It just seems with all the vibrations some of the welds just couldn't hold up. I would definately buy another Accelerator bagger.I am considering the jumbo with the extension, because when these units are working properly you can't beat em'.They fill completly up most every time. For leaves, I will leave it full and slowly mulch piles works great turns leaves to dust.It also helps to have an Exmark Lazer Z with doubles on a slow to medium idle.:D

By the way, I thought I was a welder until I met one. :D Though I am not an expert I can hold my own when I get lucky. After you posted this I went out and inspected my catcher and was very impressed with the welding. I donít think
Iíll have to worry about the craftsmanship at all. I think the operator (me) will be the only cause of its destruction. Good luck

Thanks for the support.
My guys really appreciate it when a repair job comes in clean! You will get better work out of them.
Thanks for the compliment on the welding. When there is a nice post like this, I print it up and leave it in the lunchroom for the guys to read. Detailed may have a catcher that is not welded quite as well due to the fact that we improve our product all the time, and yours is quite a bit newer.
It aggravates me whenever any catcher breaks, for whatever reason. The goal is to make them as indestructible as possible. If you ever do have a breakage problem, please don't hesitate to call me. If nothing else, I can send some aluminum parts to you.

Peter. The compliment is well deserved.
Thank you for building a product that actually made my work easier. Accelerator makes a world class product. Keep up the good work!
