best mower for your money either 48"or 52". Been looking at exmark, toro, dixion, dixie chopper, and trying to find some info on hustler any help would be great.

LAZER HP make sure you look at the 04's. This is an 03.
John.

Oh go 52"

Ditto on what John said ^^^^^
Check the trim side overhang on the 48 vs the 52 I believe you'll find the 52" to be more desirable.

TLC9: Please do not write or think for me. Jarred buy as large as you can use, demo, demo, demo and buy what works for you.

Definitely go with the 52". I had been using a Walker with 48" and when I bought my LXHP I thought 48" was the ideal size for the accounts I have. Because side trim overhang is critical on a mid mount (not so with the front mount Walker), I really wish I had gone with the 52" Exmark versus the 48".

Larry, Uh, What Jarred asked was a general question, a very general question, I have seen other critisize for asking such a question when there is a search function, No need to get you undies in a bundle, I didn't mean to think, act, talk, or offend anybody. Sorry. If you meant thinking for you when I said get an exmark, well, Jarred, GET THE EXMARK! I did infact drive everythind, Scag & Gravely (bad dealer), Hustler & JD (bad dealer) Exmark and DC dealer=wonderful. All the wonderful comments I read about Exmark and Exmark's Service history is why i bought. And yes I should have just put down try them all, Good Luck with your search Jarred, and Sorry if anyone took offense.

Jarred,

I was set on buying a 44", when I demoed a 52" I realized how nice it is to have overhang for getting close to objects. if you can get a 52" where your working go w/a 52" but demo and buy what works best for you.

Jarred, I ended up buying the ultra-vac with my lazer hp (52). One of the best purchases, even tought I mainly use it for spring/ fall cleanups and dethatching its a must. works very well, and only takes a minute to take on and off!. hope that helps. I think i got mine for 1,500 when I bought my new 03 for like 7,800. Just to give you some price examples.

I'd get at least a 52"er. otherwise you might as well get a W/B. And like the other guys said, your trimming side will be greater with a larger deck.
