View Full Version : Here's my set-up

Here's my rig. I'm looking for a mid-90's truck and a 6 x 14 Wells Cargo for next year. This set up cost me next to nothing as my dad had 2 old tilt-deck snowmobile trailers we fixed up.

is that a trailer on a trailer there?

I meant to post this as the whole rig.

Yep DS,
Here in Alberta we can pull a B-train legally. It works really well for getting around in my small town although it doesn't track well above 40mph. (only a problem when I have to go to the farm!!)

uh, what about corners?

And, How do you back it?

It actually follows pretty well. Like I said I only get a little fish-taily at about 40 mph. Necessity breeds strange solutions!!

i'd say you've got too much tail weight if its fish tailing. however with a double setup.... i've got no idea.

I use to have a JD that looked like yours. It had a 17hp Kawasaki(electric Start), and a 48" deck, bagger and a sulkie!

Man that must be nice when you have to back out of a nice dead end.

Looks Good!:D

I´ve seen many things that amazes me, but this rig is the cherry on the cake. However, if it works for you that´s okay. Just be carefull not to go over the 40 mph mark, you´ll sling that JD wb through the air like you won´t believe it and they are pretty pricey to replace too.
Just a suggestion Why can´t you put that 21¨in the back of the Ford and the JD on the bigger trailer and then just go with the one trailer for safety and speed purposes

Good Luck

like I said...this is a temperary set-up. I am going to be getting a pickup and an enclosed trailer over the winter. I don't have any dead ends to worry about and the speed limit in our town is only 30 km/h (18mph). Everything works ok for now...I just thought you all would enjoy these pics.

Hey Grass Roots,

Just curious ... what happened to your web site?

Is it just my imagination ... or were you posting under a different user name ... recently, very recently?

I hope to get an answer to these questions...

All I can say is that certainly is inventive.

I was posting at ----------.com as jchalmers. I thought I'd use my company name when I found these other sites. Last time I checked my website was still there. (www.grassroots.esymbiot.com)
