Put me down as a vote for Chevrolet also. Although I do like the new F-250's. I am still a Chevy man all the way.

Unless you have owned and used both opinions on this subject are like a-holes most of the time they stink and they are best kept to yourself.

I owned an 85 Ford F350 which gave me nothing but problems, my 89 Pontiac STE AWD was no prize either so now I have a Dodge which has been overall an OK truck. Next time Ill try another Ford or a Chevy but it seems around here if you want a truck to double as a car you buy a Chevy if you want a truck you can work to death you buy a Ford and if you dont know any better you buy a Dodge ;)

I would not take a ford over a chevy even if you gave it to me for half the price. Ford just has never made vehicles as dependable as chevy.

I had a dodge ram 250 3/4 with a cummins deisel 4 wheel drive 5 speed. Loved that truck. I traded it in for a ford super duty box truck(gas 460) I really regretted that decision. But I need a box truck at that time. But between ford and chevy. I would go with a chevy.

Own a Z71, had transmission redone. I told the guy, all I've ever heard was how good Chevy was. He said wait a minute, I'm a chevy man wouldn't have nothing but a chevy, but if you want a tough truck better buy a FORD. I vote ford all the way.

Yep we love our 1997 Ford 4WD F350's all with the Powerstroke diesel and one with a Banks kit around 650 plus tourque and 300horse I love to run gas jobs they get upset when they get left in a trail of diesel smoke. plus they get over 20mpg And those Dodge Cummings motors are awsome powerhouses even better when equiped with the TST kit. The new Chevy diesel we'll wait and see how it is Isuzu makes a durable motor.

I have both, 94 Chevy 2500 is my lawn truck and is a real puller. My old 71 Ford f100 will be my show truck when it gets done. I like both Ford and Chevy, I just dont like dodges .

I like and drive a Chevy Truck and a Blazer. Nothing against Ford products. My dad was a GM man and I guess that I am carring the tradition.

Chevy All The Way

I've been a Chevy man all my life..and always will be. I have had 3 Chevy Trucks (83 S10, 95 S10, and and now a 2000 Silverado 1500), and they have all provided good service.
The new Duramax Diesel sounds very promising, and I hope it can give Ford and Dodge some serious competition.
If for some reason I couldn't have a new Chevy, I would go for the Ford. Ford builds a really good truck..i'll admit that. I have had friends and relatives with Dodges..all newer models and 80's models. Most had serious problems such as transmission, electrical, and engine (3 yr old Caravan threw a rod).

Here's how i rate them:

1. Chevy
2. Ford
3. Dodge

Uuummmmm........let's see........Ford of course! I drive Chevy "diesels" several times a week, they have no power and are slow. Reminds me of the wet noodle metaphor...

Since we do not know how the Duramax will be, I stand by the above, if the Duramax/Allison combo is what is expected then I may be singing a different tune in a few years, time will tell.

I have a Super Duty Love it. But would consider a new Durmax Chevy. But if I bought tomorrow it would be a Dodge. My brother works for Frieghtliner and he can get me 3%below dealer cost,so there is no way I could refuse that. All of there employes get a discount for themselves and family members.

Chevy all the way, although the Ford PSD looks tougher, the beauty of chevy is more than skin deep, advntages start when you open the door,or try to use the bed,the Ford 4x4 is just to high off the ground-the bed is almost useless unless you have a loading dock at your pickup and destination.Ford received so may complaints they offered a lowering kit for SD trucks, they were to high for most 5th wheel trailers!Service and maintance on fords has always been difficult as compared to GM.Ford does have a stronger diesel for now,but over 80% of the trucks we use are gas powered, this is GM's biggest advantage, not only fuel economy, but power too.Ford V10 does make good torque, but Gm's small block 6.0 V8 can outrun it with or without a load. What will Ford bring to try to match the Big Block 8.1?I think Ford's have better ground clearance, and i like those big mirrors for towing-even if they look dorky.Fords have always rode harder, but unsually wil support their full rated payload without sagging.I hope they keep battling it out-we get better trucks as a result.

I ran F-250's for fifteen years.Bought enough tires to satisfy the Firestone recall.Twin I beam was a constant pain.Had chevys for the past six years or so.
Seems like chevy gets away with less external stuff on the engines than Ford.
What I'd really like to see would be a baby IsuzuNPR.(pickup-sise).

Chevy all the way!!! I HAD a 94 F250. Had so many problems with it, I traded it in on a 2000 Chevy 2500 Hd 454!! Not great on gas, but its a tank. I also have a Toyota t100, I would take that over any truck, Toyota's are the best built truck out there. I have 100,000 miles on my toyota, I have put brakes and tires on it, thats it!! I wish they made a 3/4 ton!! :)

I've run both Chevy and Ford. Both decent rides. I now have a Toyota Tundra 4WD, V8 extended cab. Although I would like to keep everything North American this vehicle has surpassed all my expectations. Does everything well and it is a good looking vehicle. I expect it to last many, many years.

I have never seen a Unimog that runs; around here, you always see them in somebodys carport with a tarp over one part or another, axles apart, etc.

I have always driven Chevy trucks, but would consider Dodge or Ford if it was a good value. I think there is good and bad trucks out there. I don't bash anyone for buying what they feel is best for them.

I can't make up my mind!:o

I use :
89 3/4 ton chevy pick-up and
89 F350 Ford

The Ford is a new addition for me. So far, it's working out for me. Both companies are good as far as I am concerned.
