Pickup bed Swap

Does anyone know if a 90's era GM Dually bed is a direct bolt in on a 87 GMC K3500? Or will I have to drill new holes in the frame?

I'm not positive on this, but my memory says that the new design bed is NOT held on by bolting through the bed floor like the older ones. There's 6 or 8 mounting points where it bolts to the frame, back ones are in the frame itself, fronts may be on outriggers or frame brackets or some such thing.
