After searching for several trucks over the last two weeks, I have narrowed my chices dwn to 2 trucks. Below are specs

1) 1996 Ford F-250 4x4

Red
5.4 L V8
24k miles
Meyer Snowplow(would exchange for Western or Blizzard)
Air
Power windowss, locks
Cruise
Tilt
Cloth bench
Bedliner
Only rust is on back bumper(can be fixed)
bought for plowing by older gentleman but only used for half season, great condition
Overall 7.5 out of 10

2) 1999 Ford F-250 4x4

White
5.4 L V8
75K miles
Air
Power windowss, locks
Cruise
Tilt
Cloth bench
No rust
Excellent condition
Bedliner(not even a scratch on it)
Previosuly leased by Boiler maintenance company, never used for towing, just for tools, rides great, no rattling over 60 mph,
Overall 8.5 out of 10

I am leaning towards the 1999 because it hasn't touched snow making it still virgin but I would put a plow on it. I am going to buy a 16ft enclosed trailer to tow with 2 hydros or a hydro and rider. Which do you think would be better. Thanks

Both sound like good deals, but I'd lean towards the '99. 75,000 miles isn't much at all by today's standards. I'd look for a maintenance record on it, and if it checks out ok, go for it.

you might want to keep looking a local dealer has a 99 ford crew cab 4x4 xlt auto, powerstroke, 57k mile in excellent condition $13000 still had window sticker in glove box 38k new

I would probably opt for the 96, it is already set up with a plow- even though it is a Meyer which are really not that bad - not bad enough to remove and replace. It all depends on your budget, if $ isn't a big issue to spend extra $ on a new plow for the 99.

Ok, I got a little more information on the 1999 F-250 but still nothing on the 1996. Turns out it isn't a Superduty. It's just like mike9497's truck. Everyting is brand new and it is a very nice truck. I definitely think this truck may be worth even more. I need to make up my mind by tomorrow afternoon because he says he will sell it by tomorrow night if I don't want it. It has a 4.6 L V8. Will this be enough power to put like a blizzard or Western 8' straight blade? Thanks, as much help as possible please.

If it's a 99 and not a superduty its a heavy half 7800 gvw if it has the 5.4 its got the power if its the 4.6 I wouldn't waste my time.

had the 4.6 now got the 5.4 would never go back there is so much difference in the power and towing capicity

I don't think the 5.4 was out in 1996.
The 99 is a better truck.
