View Full Version : clean ups..who's almost done?

I have about a solid weeks worth and then we'll go back around until it snows or until there is nothing left to do.

4 more for me to do. probably about 2 days worth of work.

The calls have almost stopped coming for cleanups. I'm pricin very high now due to the fact that a) i don't want to work any more and b) the leaves have been sitting/soaking/getting stuck in for 4+ weeks now.

Ha, I'm still mowing yards. This grass just won't stop growing. But then again, I'm not complaining:-D Just more work = more earnings. Just picked up a nice mulch job today as well from a dormant customer from this summer. Good to hera from the guy, he used to be Metallica's sound engineer.

I finished Sunday. Told my customers to call if they need me to come back.

90% of them are on every other week basis, 8% everyweek, and about 2% are every 3rd week. (weeds)

between the rain, and the snow that comes down just enough to make everything on the grass sloppy..........I think I might make it in time for Thanksgiving.

although I did finally learn enough this year to charge people more for having to deal with wet leaves, raking instead of using my blower/vac, and to charge $1/bag to cover that expense.

We have about one and half weeks of cleanups, and about one week of christmas decorations. Then we will be done until the snow comes. If no snow soon we will probably go back to all contracts and do light cleanups just mow and blow beds out and stuff. Then start putting equipment away and servicing stuff.

2 Fall clean ups left and few accounts to mow should be done by Dec 1....
But we are on a Sod installation that will take us through jan as the units are being finished.

Still have quite a few to do here and the leaves are still falling. We've still been doing quite a bit of mowing as we just got our first good frost this morning.

Yea rtyus, we just got our first freezing temps monday night and still plenty of leaves up in the air. The ground had dew on it but it was not frost at 5am when I got up so I think we still have a few weeks of grass to mow over here.

Some tree pruning and mulching left at one commercial account, about 2 days work, and a re-do of another commercial property that I did last weekend and not all the leaves had fallen. Went to see it today and it looked as if no one had been there for weeks. Leaves everywhere. Sometimes we have to be smarter than the leaves.

Just getting started on cleanups here. The trees just did not want to lose their leaves this year. Still mowing grass, mulching, plantings. Will be busy until christmas alteast and maybe after that as well.

I cant wait to get up at 9 or 10 in the morning if i feel like it. :-)

I have another weeks worth of cleanups left then I have a pavers walk to do, a 3 day clearing job and possibly a clearing job for a builder I do work for depending on how soon the project is ready to go and probly a planting job then that should finish of the year I guess. I have probly 2-4 more weeks left.

Just did my last yesterday.......the leaves were nicely frozen in the gutters.......But it was all worth it....I averaged over $70 /hour this year on clean-ups. I work alone and price by the job. I really improved my estimating this year.

Same hear in Chesapeake Va. We are still mowing on a 10-14 day schedule. Doing mulch, installing flower beds and a few small clean-ups.
