A while back someone posted they were looking into a potential source for reasonably priced seaweed solution. Think it was dried and from a Canadian supplier. Did that ever materialize?

Reasonably priced, no. The competition for the product keeps the price pretty high. Turns out that cattle eat a few ounces per day. At the rate they eat it, it is a pretty cheap mineral supplement even at $50 per bag. I don't see the benefit for turf at that price.

I would like to use it as a soil ammendment for trees. I realize this is Lawnsite, but the "spray" forums here are more active than the tree sites.

It is in fact a good material for trees. Combined with humates, mychorrizae (I hate spelling that word), atc, it is part of a strong fungal program.
FYI, soil grade kelp meal is @$24.00 per 55 lb bag.
Souluble forms can be mixed in as well.

Thanks. Do you have a product name, or know where to find it?

Feed grade is called Algit X-120. Soil grade I forget the exact name. Difference is soil grade contains up to 3% "impurities" and feed grade has less than 1%.
On East coast http://www.organicapproach.com on west coast I am not positive, sorry.
