Hey guys.Have any of you seen the new ECHO PB-603's?? I just bought one today. Got it for 400+tax. Seems nice but haven't used it enough yet. it weighs 19.6lbs.(Dry). It has the tube mounted throttle, slightly bigger end pipe, smaller air filter, and different type of frame(similar to the PB-260L frame;my previous blower). It blows at 1100cfm at housing and 535cfm at pipe end(190mph). I love the fact it is lighter;19.6 lbs.
Vibe Ray,
I recently got an Echo brochure about that unit, but dont remember its cfm and mph specs. Are they really that powerful? Sounds like a hit. I have a Lesco/Echo 44cc like the PB-46. Love it.

Where or how did you get that brochure Dixie?
I must be on the "mail me everything list". I think I threw it out. With the new Lazer, its not time for any new purchases!

We have the PB600 with lever throttle, 58.2cc motor, 195mph 840CFM at housing and 23lbs. We love it, but never heard of the new one out, my local dealer is trying to sell us 2 Fradan BB-51 blowers for $499.99 plus shipping. They look good but only need one but at $300.00 off I may get them and e-bay one off. (how much different is the 603 from the 600?)

Not too much difference landscaper (look at my first post). Hey Landscaper3, do you want an ECHO PB-260L Backpack blower for $230+shipping???14.5 lbs. 427cfm at 160mph
(only about 25 hours on it).

Hey dixie, was there anything else in that brochure by ECHO(are they coming out with anything new???) I hear they are coming out with a cable drive SRM-2601 and are gonna up the price for the steel drive 2601
Vibe Ray,
Yes, in regards to 2601 flex,it was more or less a new 2001 product guide. Kinda wish I didnt throw it out. But I'm not in the market for any 2 cycle equipment this winter.

Hey!!!!! How'd you get the new PB-603??? I went to my dealer today, with new Echo sales brochure in hand and told him I wanted one. He didn't have any,he called Echo... They told him they aren't releasing them til Jan 2001. So I bought the PB-601, with throttle cnotrol on the tube... Has same 58.2cc, 195 mph...Might be a little heavier than the 603, but, what a great machine... Boy, does it move the leaves...

we just purchased a shindiawa eb630 backpack and it is awesome we were using husqvarna blowers before which were excellent units with good power. they are now for sale and we are looking to get another shindiawa the cfm at tube end is 613 and the mph is 201 with a dry weight of 19lbs and 62 cc = 4 h.p.. i am not aware of anything better out there. we have done extensive homework and found the best price at http://www.alamia.com $435 (no tax or shipping if not in colorado).
