Hey guys, Just putting a new clutch in my 83 F-250 W/6.9 deisel. Can someone pleaselet me know whats involved in replacing the rear oil seal. I have fly wheel off. Do I need to loosen or unbolt oil pan and/or loosen crank? Do I need to use silecone sealer with it?
Thanks all

the rear oil seal is a one piece deal. pop the old one out, inspect the surface of the crank where the seal rides. If it is grooved, you will need to install a new wear surface on the crank. Your International dealer or NAPA auto parts will have it. Install the new seal by tapping evenly around the edges. get a Haynes manual before you do all this, as it has all the settings and torques you will need to reinstall your new clutch. It will save alot of headaches!
