I just finally broke down today and bought a jungle jack. This is going to be money well spent. No more struggling trying to lift mowers up with a floor jack and finding a way to hold them there its as good as my ez gate i bought 2 years ago

If you love your Jungle Jack, you should check out Ballards Super Jack. Heavier Duty than JJ, also bigger wheels on bearings, double forks, and 23" of lift. Look it up at Ballards.com. Well worth the extra money.

I think that web site is www.ballard-inc.com The other is a repair shop in Texas.

Thanks, littlenic:)

What kind of prices are we talking about for these jacks?

$ 250 for the Ballards Super Jack, $150-$160 for the Jungle Jack if my memory is correct.

The web site is www.ballard-inc.com, sorry.
It's not in the way of the blades, just better access under the deck, and more stable, i.e. safer. I own both.
The Super Jack was $219.00, plus $20.00 shipping to La.

Anyone buy the blade assist for the grinder that is on the Ballards site? Looks good idea instead of buy a high priced magna-matic to get the right angle when sharpening blades.

What is the price of the blade assist?

BOTURF what did you pay for the Jungle Jack?

I like Ballard's Super Jack. Looks to be well-built and they actually tell you "Works on all ZTR's and Walk Behinds". My only concern is: What does it do to the floating deck? That can't be good for the mower. What is ya'll's opinion on that?

I was refuring to the other jack not the JJ. Can you put ballards jack in a holder like you can with the JJ? If you look to the left inthe pic i have my jack in its HUT.

Make sure that thing doesnt fall on you! I wouldnt risk building something that I would be working under.

Talk more about the blade assist. Sounds like something I need REALLY BAD.

Thanks for the concern Cheesedawg1. I work at a plant where safety is the overriding priority! And I totally agree. Everyone has to know his or her limitations, When I decide to build something like this, it will look and perform as good or better than the original.
This kind of stuff is a walk in the park for me. I love to build anything that will save me time and labor. Been doing this kind of stuff for a long time. Again thanks for the concern! :waving:
