was wondering what some of you use for trimmer racks? did you buy or make? I was going to make my own and have them powder coated but they want $45.00 to powder coat each side. Do not know if its worth making them.I have a Big Tex 60SP pipe trailer.any suggestions?

Got the grid-iron racks from novae..... I like em... but they are a little more $$ than most.

We have Trimmer Trap racks. They are great there is no pins to loose or pin to forget to put in. They also lock with a single padlock.

I dont have a trailer yet. What can I use to secure my trimmer in the back of my pickup, also i already have wooden sides built up around the box. I know i just need hooks into the wooden sides but they would have to stick out somehow so the guard and motor arent against the sides.

L&L Landscaping,
those trimmer trap racks are pretty sweet..what do they go for (3 place)? will they fit a pipe trailer?

Made my own for about $25.00 and I have no complaints so far.

Bought two straight black painted step railings and made my own

attachments from some Stanley brackets. drilled straight thru

the poles and use a pin and dog clip. Works great about 5

seconds to load or unload.

I bought mine from my Exmark dealer. I don't know what brand they are but have worked well for the 5 years Iv'e owned them. I think they were about $110.00 installed.

Snowmizer,

The TT-2 original (hold 3) cost me $150.00 plus tax. We have two one mounted on angle frame and the other mounted on a square tube frame trailer. I believe it will work, but will require that you purchase longer bolts. This is what we had to do to mount it on the tube frame trailer.

Try the local lesco, I bought my 3 place green tough racks for just a bit over 200 bucks, they have a bout a 1/4 inch rubber coating on them and are very nice. I too have a big tex trailer and was worried about mounting it to a round rail. The only thing you have to do is buy longer bolts to go through the pipe.

This seems to be an inexpensive way to go....

I made mine out of wood and painted black to match. just bought a trimmer trap the other day that I will add to it soon as well. The wood does well for me because we don't get much rain and when it does I have it the garage. A shelf I made in the front holds everything from my gas cans to a handheld blower.
Just make sure what ever way you go that it will work for you for some time to come.
